It was a boundary-dissolving love I felt while I was in Italy. One that felt like it was the right time finally to be a pair. Do you know that feeling? I saw him on FaceTime last week, and the next day I decided to sketch what I felt in music. It’s a few hours worth of progress. Writing music like this was my way to elevate and worship these mutual feelings and desires for connection, growth, encouragement, and unity. While being surrounded by the rolling hills of the body of Italy, and eating and drinking directly from its earth, daily, I could rekindle my connection with a Gaian spirit that dwells within the sunlit soil of my inner spring. In this state I asked myself, how can touch and feel be expressed in the language of music? If philosophy nowadays is done in song, how can we focus our musical language to express more ideas with greater clarity of feeling?
Here’s a PDF of my sketch:
For my composers, this was produced in StaffPad, a dream composing software that I’ll be sharing more about. Essentially you can hand draw music, hit play, and incredible sound libraries will perform what you write with exceptional realism. It’s the ease and quality for me. In this audio you’ll hear the Berlin Strings. This is what the interface looks like.
I hope you enjoy this one and as always let me know what you think.
Thank you
always for your words after listening to this one.
